Dedication of
New Historical Markers

To mark the occasion of the Duel's bicentennial, the Township of Weehawken erected two new historical markers on July 11, 2004. These plaques, reproduced below, now flank the Hamilton Monument at Hamilton Avenue and Boulevard East. The information on these plaques will help visitors to the monument to get a better idea of the context of the site and the reason for the commemoration.

A brief ceremony was held to dedicate the plaques. A complete list of speakers can be found in the official dedication program.
