Symposium
The centerpiece of the day's events was the Hamilton-Burr Duel Bicentennial Symposium held at Weehawken High School. This event brought together four of the leading scholars on Hamilton, Burr, the Duel, and early American politics and allowed them to share their knowledge and interact with each other and the attendees.
The participants in the Symposium were:
Each of the first three participants presented a brief talk on a topic related to the Duel. This was followed by a panel discussion and a question and answer session with the audience, led by the moderator.
Almost 900 people attended the Symposium and the level and quality of audience participation was extremely high. In fact, at the end of the day, we were unable to accomodate all of the potential questioners due to time constraints.
